In a 1974 act akin to civil disobedience, a group of eleven women and their supporters organize their unauthorized ordination as Episcopal priests. A church in North Philadelphia welcomes them, and a group of male bishops ordain them, making headlines in the nightly news worldwide. They become known as the “Philadelphia Eleven.” As new priests, they persevere despite the harassment and threats; and build a movement that challenges the very essence of patriarchy within Christendom.

Q&A following with director Margo Guernsey (Emerson College) and introduced by President Sarah Willie-LeBreton
